My personal bucket project.
    #1795110 - 08/09/03 11:17 AM (20 years, 8 months ago)

Here is my idea for a nice little personal casing, I plan on purchasing a 5 gallon bucket, and into that I will spawn a quart of WBS into dehydrated cow manure and than essentialy case with the standard 50/50 verm coir, my question is though, will I be able to do this all in the bucket, can I spawn into the bucket, than case than fruit all in one bucket, and also what should I do for humidity? will spraying the bucket with H2O and H2O2 be able to supply enough humidity, and also would an air pump connected to the bucket be beneficial for air exchange or would fanning be sufficient, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Ok that seems easy enough, what about humidity, and jesus mspacman that was the quickest response ive ever seen it was no less than 2 minutes, thank you.

Just cover it with a plastic trash bag. Fanning will be sufficient and you can incubate and fruit from the exact same basket. Just spray down the bucket walls with regular water to keep humidity up.

Just cover it with a plastic trash bag and seal it up with a rubber band or something. Fanning will be sufficient and you can incubate and fruit from the exact same basket. Just spray down the bucket walls with regular water to keep humidity up.

lol, im always jumping around the forum, i usually get to questions quick. the bag will provide humidity if you spray the sides. fanning is fine.

a buddy of mine has the jars incubating, 3 eq's and 2 pink buffys, although none of the eq's show growth after 3 days i keep my hopes up, all i need is 1 jar, just for a nice little personal stash

yes now is the hardest time of all when your friend has to anixously wait for the first signs of colonization. its tough and nerve racking but i have heard the best thing to do is try to put them out of mind and try to go a few days without checking on them, you'll be suprised at what can happen.

is your buddy incubating or does he know the temp of the jars?

he is incubating at a said 85 degrees, im really hoping they colonize because if they dont i might not have a jar for my grow which i anxiously await doing.

85 is a bit too hot
incubate at 80MAX, jars produce some heat on their own,
better to be on the safe side....
or so ive heard, i dont even bother incubateing, i just do it at room temp

Thanks hyper, i will relay that message, damn wish i had the resources and already had jars at my own place, although funny story for anyone who cares, after my buddy has done pf a few times with decent turn out, it was time for a change, so we need a pc... this seemed like a daunting task due to the relative lack of money we have for a new one, i had this shot in the dark idea of getting one at a nearby flea market, and while walking around one of us spots the thing and we nearly shit ourself, one thing leads to another and we score a barely used old school(60's or 70's) with all the parts, (huge score for a few highschool kids) 20 dollars, that was the best get, made all of our days. It is great how things work out sometimes
