    #17763888 - 02/07/13 07:36 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

Pm if you have read this book and are down to write an essay. It would be really chill, this is ridiculous, I know.

Well, if anyone wants to write an essay tonight about racism in the 1930's and the culture and folklore African americans created to cope with the evils of racism, ya know, let me know.

But you know your right, and i'm just probably going to write it in a sec here, but you never know, some curious intelligent knowledgeable person could always hit me up if they think they can bust out papers faster than a 14 year old busts a nut...

This, my friend, is assessing America from a different time, hence uncle tom's children.

God, who the fuck would even read this on here. I'm definitely barking up the wrong tree, I just thought maybe someone would PM me.

It might help to bring up some issues raised in the book and we could discuss it and you'd have ideas for a topic statement, but nobody is gonna write you a paper for free.

I'll do it for $15/page but I only guarentee a C

Yeah.... no one is going to write your paper. You're wasting time.

If you were offering $$$, that would be a different story. But for free?

Who the hell just wants to write a school paper for no reason.

Stop being so lazy brah. Get to work!

Dude I like your style, throwing a down a deal being straight up about quality and naming your price. That's legit.

However you have no read the book from the sound of it, look up the book, Pm me and pitch me a thesis and then we'll talk.

Why do people keep thinking for free, I never used the words "for free".

I have taken a class in Afro-Am Lit which would give me an edge, we might have even touched on Wright but I don't think so.  I priced high because this is such short notice, and I hate having to write on a specific topic of the book (how they use folklore to cope with racism) It is so much easier if it is open ended.

A good idea might be to compare it to Uncle Tom's Cabin, which attacked slavery.  Uncle Tom's Children are no longer slaves, but they have to face Jim Crow, tumultous politics, and try to figure out for themselves what it really means to be black and how they fit into the fabric of America.

There's 3 topic sentences

I-  How did they cope with jim crow?

II-  What does communism mean to black Americans? (communism seems to be a theme in at least 2 of the stories)

III-  What do black people think of black people?  How was this changing at the time and how do the different characters represent different aspects of black identity?

I'm not sure that covers the folklore aspect.  Good luck.

Maybe it would be good then.... I am white, so you could touch on how white people are lazy and want slaves to do their labor and that's how this whole ordeal started.

It actually is open ended, I'm creating my own thesis, it just has to be on topic with the book and include quotations basically. I realized I am however lazy and am going to write it, though maybe some other time I will let you know.
