outside patch

Okay... My friend planted some EQ's outside covered in poop. Three weeks later he saw some (3) shrooms, and picked them way too early because they looked kind of dried out. Two days later there were seven more pins, they were picked 4 days later. He threw alittle more shit on the patch and watered. The next week he picked a bunch of short fatties. He thought they were short because the temp jumped into the 100's. 2 1/2 weeks later nothing has shown up. He has spread more shit on the patch, and watered every 3 or 4 days. The temp has been from high 70's at night to low 100's in the day. Is the heat his problem or what? I didn't think outside patches stopped flushing until winter... :confused:

I've only been growing outdoors using Moe's outdoor tek for a short time, and while my yields have not been eye-popping, I certainly ended up with more than 'your friend' has so far. For what it's worth, I suspect that the temperature is indeed the problem as the shrooms generally want temp a dip well down into the 70's in order to fruit. I suspect you'll have to give it a go when summer is waning and you get some cooler evening temps.
