hahah yeah I read ya loud and clear on that

Equador=is a good strain for newbies to start out with the potency isn't that good.

Koh Samoi=Its very resistant to contams, and is a very fast colonizing strain and is the a very fast fruiting strain. It tends to grow some very thick mushrooms with large caps and its potency is above average for a cubensis.

I never grew Plantasia Mystery or Blue Meanies so I have no feed back about them sorry

-taken from The Hawk's Eye

Plantasia Mystery:
Were very happy to be able to bring this strain to you. As you can see from some of the outdoor pics, it looks a lot like an ps. azurescens, but it is a cubensis. Its very adaptable to many climates and does very well in extreme heat! It loves warm temparatures making it a great summer mushroom. Our friends in Amsterdam agree this one always seem to put a smile on everyones face. Its a very happy vibe, making it a great social mushroom. Its very easy on the mind and body, very smooth.
-Clyde- in Amsterdam says as for growing this one, they are a semi-fast colonizer, fruits are average in size, and very beautiful as you will see from the pics. This strain not only does well in heat, but also in cooler temps outdoors. Enjoy.

Ecuador:
Coming to you all the way from 3500+ feet up in the Ecuador mountains is the beautiful ecuadorian cubensis. This one was picked by BIO himself, and is very widespread around the world at this point :O). This mushroom has become very popular, as it grows very easy as well. It produces some very nice golden color mushrooms, and grows very easily on a variety of substrates. It has been deemed by many to be one of the most beautiful, picture perfect cubs out there. Its colonizing speed is average, but it produces an abundance of nice big healthy mushrooms. Usually averaging 4"-9" depending on how they are grown. This mushroom also tends to grow some rather thick stems and large caps. The growers in Amsterdam claim this is a great strain for beginners because it is so stable and fruits very easily. It has been around for a while, and is accustomed to about any subsrate dung loving mushrooms will thrive on.
According to our friends in Amsterdam who eat this one a lot, the euphoric sensation it creates is a very dreamy, and relaxing, that can be quite visual.

Koh Samui "Classic":
Another great psilocybe mushroom brought to us by Enthomycologist John Allen from his travels through Thailand. This beauty was picked in the town of Hua Thanon on the island of Koh Samui. Here is a picture of the actual field it was picked in. A huge thanks again to John Allen, a.k.a. Mushroom John for taking the time to seek out these mushrooms on his travels and bringing back spore prints.
This strain of cubensis from Thailand is a real winner. Its very resistant to contams, and is a very fast colonizing strain and is the 2nd fastest fruiting strain of cubensis -Clyde- has worked with yet. It tends to grow some very thick mushrooms with large caps. Although they dont grow real tall, they make up for height in thickness. Some times it tends to grow some narly shaped mushrooms, but we hear the stranger they grow the more potent they are with this strain .
Its potency is above average for a cubensis. We've heard nothing but great reports back from people that have experienced its gift. Some friends have claimed it to be the most potent cubensis they've tried yet, saying they are very "twisted", and asked for these specifically by name the next time they were ready to journey. Personally I don't think the Thailand mushrooms are the most potent cubensis, but they are are definately above average. They are also rather "speedy", quite an energetic experience from these ones. You'll need to be the judge of that for yourself when you go to Amsterdam and get to try them personally. Another group of friends have dubbed them "the cloud mushrooms" you'll see what they mean when you enjoy viewing the clouds on these.
It's no wonder why in Thailand they have the full moon festival every month where thousands gather to eat this sacred mushroom and experience God-Within together.
Some of the same things are being said about the Ban Lipa Yai Thailand cubensis as well, hhhhmmm.. must be something really special and mystical going on over there in thailand these mushrooms are bringing with them

July UPDATE: The Koh Samui strain has now been renamed the Koh Samui "Classic" in leau of our newest release from -Clyde-, The Koh Samui Super Strain These are some nice pics from -Clyde- of the thailand koh samui classic fruiting on cased finch seed. They were started from multi-spore inoculation of finch seed, then cased with 50/50+ mix.
These are 3rd generation from the wild.

Koh Samui "Super Strain"
Another great psilocybe mushroom brought to us from the regions of Thailand. This one is the absolute best cubensis we have ever seen. -Clyde- dubbed this one a Super Strain. Why? It far exceeds all other cubensis he has worked with by 40%-50%! A great little story behind this one and -Clyde's- research. So over the last few years our good friend and entheomycologist John Allen and friends have been going over to Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia and hunting the sacred mushrooms of SE Asia. Along those journeys many many different strains of Thailand cubensis have been collected and printed in the wild. Well of course we have a huge resource of these prints collected as we funded several trips for one of the researchers. So all of those prints that have been collected the last few years we gave to -Clyde- to research them and produce spores from the best strains that developed from wild mushrooms collected and printed. Such as our Ban Lipa Yai Thailand cubensis, and Thailand Lamai Beach Cubensis, and every ones Thailand favorite, the original Thailand Koh Samui Cubensis which has now been renamed the Koh Samui Classic so there is no confusion with the Koh Samui Super Strain.
Well of course over the last couple of years -Clyde- continued going through many of these prints and developing them for several generations searching for better strains, a super strain. And finally it happened, he hit the mother load  At first he couldn't believe it, but each generation of flushes just kept getting better and better and he could see he was on to the best cubensis he had ever worked with. So he decided to go big with it and made up 100 boxes of compost to test this new strain out. In Amsterdam where -Clyde- works, mushrooms are legal in the coffee shops and are in high demand. So it is not unusual to grow this many mushrooms at once  Anyway, the results were outstanding. -Clyde- said out of 100 15lb compost boxes, none of them contaminated on the first flush. He has never seen this before. He usually loses at least 10-15 boxes after the first flush. After the 2nd flushes he only lost 5 boxes then after the 3rd flush he only seen another 5 show any contamination. This strain is extremely contam resistant! To top it off, they yielded 40-50% more mushrooms compared to the highest yielding strains he has seen. Not only that, but the Koh Samui Super Strain is the fastest colonizing and fruiting strain he has every worked with. From start to finish, multi-spore inoculation to 3rd flush yields, it only took 42 days!! That is freaking fast. He noted what he also liked about them is they give up almost all of the mushrooms on the first 2 flushes, then one last decent 3rd flush and they are done. They wont fruit past 3 flushes because they work so hard giving up all the goods in the first couple of flushes. Size is average, comparable to the Lipa Yai's, except you will get box fulls with this strain. He says they utilize every inch of the growing media. Potency is comparable to the other Thailand strains, great vibe and rather speedy, very energetic.
Pictures? Well those of you that have followed The Hawks Eye in the past years know we are big on pictures around here. But -Clyde- asked we do not post any pictures of the Koh Samui Super Strain. He wants everyone to see for themselves how beautiful they look under a microscope. Perhaps after we close in September we will post some of -Clyde's- pictures then. Although we said in our closing statement we would not be buying any more spores from -Clyde-, he insisted this one gets spread to the masses before we close. It goes without saying this is his new favorite cubenis. So in honor of -Clyde- and all the great work he has done for The Hawks Eye and the global mushroom communities, we release our final and last strain from -Clyde- and its the best ever! Enjoy
