    #16972004 - 10/05/12 02:06 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

Hello shroomery.org!
I was just wondering what this could be, i really hope that it's not any mold or cobweb.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. All I see is what appears to be mycelium.

I wouldnt add any extra holes now and your tub should work fine. Will you be fanning manually or using an oscillating fan on a timer ?  I would have taped the bottom of the tub or put black plastic on the bottom to avoid side pinning.

Yes, i taped the bottom. I tought that the substrate does FAE it byself, and i would not haveto worry about fanning. have i understood something wrong?

I can't see any tape on the sides or bottom of the tub. I'm talking about dark tape like duct tape or some other type that doesnt allow light through. As for fruiting....I colonize the tub with alot of polyfill in the holes until I see pins coming up and then I put it into fruiting by removing some polyfill from the wad and putting it back into the holes loosely. I then give the tub a good fanning out manually and put an oscillating fan in the room on a timer set to go off 4x a day for 15 minute intervals......don't point the fan directly at the tubs.
