I see the topic of a lot of posts here are about good movies to watch while tripping. I dont know about you guys but when im tripping, tv of any sort, cable or movies is sometimes very uninteresting, although not all the time. When im tripping there is nothing better than walking around outside and just looking at everything, or hanging out with friends and having interesting conversations. I can deffinitely see why some movies would be great to see while tripping, but for me it seems like the real world is just calling me when i start trippin.

whats so great about movies and having a very good imagination is that you can live out the movie(sorta) movies always suck me in and its crazy. i love watching movies.

I hate movies, especially tripping (good for the afterglow though..) Im with Respect here, but whatever feed's your vibe is fine, to each their own. My idea of a fantastic trip probably wouldnt appeal to most people either.

I do readily agree with Fungus but I also have to say that some movies are quite engaging. I really want to see Amelie simply because that movie has all sorts of trippy things about it, but yeah normal television blows my mind away.

Mmmm, one thing i can tell you that i wouldn't want to see while im tripping is lots and lots of people dieing in a very graphic way, but hey if it sounds good to you try it out and tell me how it was. But that is a very well done movie, but i think it may put me in a morbid mood if i watched it while tripping.

After i dose i always throw on a movie , it helps ease the waiting, usually an action flick and by the time its over im soaring...

I agree that movies can be tiresome while tripping...who wants to sit through one plodding plot when you can explore the whole wonderous world around you.Or, to quote Ben Oliver("There are infinite channels to see when you turn off the TV.") There ARE some movies however that seem to be tuned in to the psychedelic state...Baraka, Animatrix (I've heard), silly strange things you can come in and out of. i don't know, yeah, to each his own...but, I've noticed that if I have to drive or talk or do other seemingly 'sober' things I can...there is just a whole different levl..or depth waiting anytime I am willing to shine my consciousness in that direction.

Man, I watched animatrix while high on the dirt weed and it blew my mind, I cant imagine how intense it would be on shrooms.

I also watched the animatrix while high, and it also blew my mind.. The Matrix while tripping is also a good one, and office space.. American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, and Fight Club ae also all great movies.

a really intense/strange movie to watch is "altered states"
it's from the 80's and although it's kind cheesy, it's hella trippy and totally worth viewing/buying [$10 at wal-mart]

I thought it was an excellent movie. First one I ever saw as a child that mentioned psychedelics. I'd love to have an isolation tank like that for when I have trip parties.

Actually it would accentuate the purpose. I've hosted trip parties where we all just sat together in silence for several hours and had a blast.
