Now that I may have gotten your attention? Haha jk.

I haven't been able to think of good material for a novel yet, but I've sort of been thinking about writing a story about modern humans going to ancient times, duh, like THAT hasn't been done before.

Except, it wouldn't just involve addressing communication/linguistic barriers, there would be a lot of psychological experiments on the ancient peoples by the modern peoples, so I could talk about the effect of societal conditioning on various psychological mindsets/intuitions, in a different society like the paleolithic society compared to modern society.  It may even involve some speculation about the evolution of the brain and brain structures relating to psychology etc, which would make this easier to address.

And there would be romance between the paleolithic people and the modern DUH, it would also have a take on their sexuality, and the more openn-ness of sexuality back then, the need for not having to possess the other partner, about how men and women and all loved each other, how the community was connected by this love, and how in modern society, we need to schedule time for "love" etc.

Anyway, the story would also involve the ancient people's take on tripping on wild mushrooms, and cacti, and random ethnobotanicals and shit, and how that experience would play out in ancient times, without the experience being influenced by modern day music, psychedelic artwork, etc.

Yeah haha, I'm excited to learn about archaeology, anthropology, linguistics, pharmacology, psychology whatever, to write this story.

I'm sure it's been done before in some form or another, but I think what I can write about is having a somewhat culturally diverse set of modern humans connect with different aspects of the ancient people's culture--for example, one human would be a linguistics expert, and be especially interested in investigating the proto Indo-European language origin, and hell, even proto language and what that means etc, and I could write about possible first hand accounts/interpretations of this, another person would be a climatology expert, another would be chemistry/botanist and look at the pharmacology of various ancient plants (i might even make some random plants up if i learn more about botany, plants that are not extinct but had unique psychedelic properties exploited by the ancients). And I would also try to add some humor I guess in my own lame way. I think it will involve a lot of learning of interdisciplinary skills!
