I'm in the market for a compound microscope with a usb camera

Something like this

The one above is 40-1000x.  1000x should be sufficient for viewing mushroom spores right?

Anyone know of a good one, I'm not afraid to spend some $$

might have better luck looking to a more specialized forum regarding science / photography

dealt with a few microscopes in my day but none of them ever had USB cameras -- hope you share a few photos once you make your purchase

That microscope will work fine for microscopy.

I own this model and use a Celestron digital imager with it.

i have this one:

http://www.amazon.com/OMAX-40X-2000X-Binocular-Compound-Microscope/dp/B004RZXINU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1346800584&sr=8-3&keywords=omax+microscopes

i like it.
although you might want to consider getting a higher quality scope and snapping the pictures...
you can always save up for a usb camera attachment.
although, the usb feature is a nice and easy step in the right direction.
you are also going to want oil immersion, for sure.

that's my input.
