Hypothetical for you chaps, recognise that weed needs a lot of fat to dissolve the goodness to make it bioavailable.
Was thinking of having a fondue party, is chees a suitable medium for this, or does it have too much protein? I'm thinking of using cheddar and edam/gouda.
I'm not adverse to adding butter with it. Just curious if anyone's tried this before and their experiences with it.

Hmm I think it might be too heavy. The best edibles are small and packed full of thc, but if it was to be done I would cook the buds in whole milk first. Strain it and then use the milk in your fondue.

There is a high enough fat content in the milk. Have you ever heard of bhang? Anyway if you use butter it will make your fondue greasy.

Cheese fondue will work just fine in terms of the MJ's effectiveness. I'd be considerably more concerned about flavor and texture. Cooked pot isn't often the most pleasant flavor component to grace delicately designed dishes, so definitely test out your flavors before serving to friends/family! The suggestion of using a high fat whole milk, straining and adding to your fondue seems like an appropriate tactic to try. Alternately, making a hash oil or bubble hash for inclusion directly with the cheese. 'Cause raw plant matter directly in the cheese will be nasty. Using a stronger cheese like an aged gouda or smoked cheese may help mask some of the green flavor.
PS. I have used cheese as a medium for edible marijuana treats, so I know first hand that it works well, but I also know first hand that it tasted like shit in my particular preparation (i.e. MJ shake mixed into cheese, cooked melty and slathered on crackers).
