So, it shoots BB's?

I used to get in all kinds of shenanigans with my BB gun, but it was only a .177.

I liked to shoot grasshoppers with it. Then yellow jackets would come to eat the grasshoppers. Then you could shoot the yellow jackets. Shooting glass is always fun, but I would stick to bottles. Windows get you in trouble real quick and are really uncool to shoot. Even if they are at the dump, they could be used for something cool.

I have killed a squirrel and a chicken easily. I don't know about a rabbit. If you hit it in the head I guess it would probably die.

.22LR is a whole other story...

Ahh, we always called them pellets. If I remember correctly, they are more expensive. On the other hand, they can really put a hurtin on something.

Air rifles are excellent for poaching. They are pretty quiet and can kill small game if you can aim. Just about any bird can be taken down (at least around here).

When you say you want to get a better one when you get a license, do you mean a better air rifle or a better gun?

Oh that explains all my confusion  I (and everyone i know) refer to air rifles as slug guns. Must be aussie slang'. :justdontknow:

When i get a license i want to get more air rifles. I live in a rural area but its not rural enough to shoot gun powdered weapons, there are neighbors around and i dont want to put anyone at risk. Besides, i dont need a proper gun. All i will be shooting are Hairs (wild rabbit specie) and pest birds. Maybe even some rats if i see any

hey nice gun, i cant wait to get something better

If you are looking for stealth killing power, you might want to look at getting a crossbow.

Otherwise, make sure not to underestimate the shenanigan potential of an air rifle. Always mix fire/guns/danger with alcohol, and always run with scissors.

Locky.. Two things:

1..Make sure that the .22 and you are up to the challenge of killing the rabbit in one shot. Suffering isnt hunting, its animal cruelty. As for power and accuracy I can strongly recommend a Hatsan HS125 in .22 diabolo, fitted with a scope. Its a not too expensive 40 joule air rifle.

2..You shoot it, you eat it. No exceptions. If you are not ready to skin and gut a critter, you shouldnt be killing it.

I would have to agree. I'm 100% against animal cruelty.  Also, I'm not one to skin a critter somebody would have to that for me.  As for a rat, those things get in your home and chew EVERYTHING, so to kill one for that reason I dont think a skinning is in order, especially if its diseased.

I was a little maniac with mine. I had a semi auto that ran off of C02. This thing shot 16 rounds and had a scope. I was the deadliest thing in the neighborhood. Then I had a mission one night given to me from my father. A group of rebels (pigeons) was camped outside my house by the front door on our roof shingles. Mother fuckers acting like they were paying rent and shit... not up in here. I sat and waited for the targets behind a bush, rifle ready, I saw my chance. A beady little head. Head shot. Pink Mist. I still heard noise up there, so I grabbed a ladder to get the body, and to my shock there were 3 baby beady heads staring back at me and their parents lifeless corpse. I knew what I had to do. I lined all them up on the front wall firing squad style. I felt fucking ruthless. Like the fucking gestapo. Jesus what a rush. Went in after that for some internet porn and homemade snicker doodles. Once I get my license I'm looking at get a ruger mark 3. Yeah I know not too good for home defense, wouldn't do to much damage to someone on pcp but that drug isn't common out here, I aim for the head, and I am trigger happy. The gun just looks so sexy.

Yeah, RWS/Diana .22

Nope, just target practice. Might use it for pest control one day, but it's not really necessary at this point.

why not just get a 22? I love my 10/22. Got like 300 bucks in it and its my favorite gun by far. 2lb trigger and shoots under 1 moa. I dropped 200 on a 22 air rifle (benjamin?) about 5 years ago and it couldn't group for shit so I returned it.

and if you shoot animals and don't eat them, well, that's just fucked up.

Plus pellet guns have some fucked up reverse recoil that always seems to throw a scope off after a few shots.

Got to disagree with this statement. You clearly need more education. If you've ever suffered crop damage from varmints you'd disagree. If you'd ever had a chicken killed by coyotes you'd disagree. You have to tend to your crops and protect your livestock. It can be a matter of survival.
