 LSD and antidepressants

Recently, I got 15 hits of good lucy, but starting next week I'm going to be put on antidepressants. Do antidepressants effect LSD in anyway?

Dude, I tried. My depression is so bad that I can't even enjoy tripping, playing guitar, or hanging out with friends. :/
I actually candy flipped to get some insight and stuff, but my depression was just clouding me the entire time.

It would be strange if that was a doctor's first choice. Usually it's prescribed when more common/safer antidepressants don't work for someone. If you're on lithium word is you'll need to have regular blood tests to make sure safe levels are maintained, otherwise it can cause renal damage. There's actually quite a few nasty side effects. Nastier than average even, in terms of prescription medication.
A strong case can be made for whether a prescription antidepressant exists that doesn't do more harm than good.
Whatever your doctor prescribes- read as much information as you can find about it, don't just take his word that it's the best option.

If you are that depressed, you should lay off the psychs until you feel better. And I wouldn't take acid with ANY anti-depressant in your system, lithium or not. My friend was on wellbutrin (however its spelled) when he took some doses with me- and it did NOT turn out well.

Well he seemed okay for the first part of the trip, then after a while he just went and laid down on the floor under a blanket, trying to sleep. Once the rest of us had "come down", he said he was still tripping really hard and it wasn't "slowing down". We dropped at around 10 p.m. I'd say. This was also his first and last LSD experience. He said he wasn't coming down around 8 a.m. the next day. The WHOLE next day until he finally went to sleep- he was scared he was never going to come down. He was thinking about telling his mom to take him to the hospital and all this shit. He wouldn't leave any of us alone. I told him he just needed to relax and go to sleep...
Just a horrible reaction to it I guess.

Damn, that sounds tough. I am a bit bummed that i still have 12 hits left and shouldn't dose them.  I'm gonna give it one more shot once my tolerance goes down, and be with people instead of being by myself. Hopefully It'll do some good. Does anyone have any personal experience with taking LSD while on antidepressants? If for some reason I still wanted to trip while on the meds, would it be a good idea at all to not take them the day of the trip?

You would need to not take them for probably at least a week prior to your trip. Could be more, might be less. The stuff leaves your system gradually after you stop taking the pills.

I took acid on Abilify and nothing happened. Friend tripped for 7+ hours on same dose. I didn't die, no bad trip obviously, but yeah, sometimes you get nothing with pharms + psychedelics.

Just dont take them untill after the trip is my suggestion otherwise you would have to ween you doseage down and other stuff.A family member of mine took 400mics of what i thought was pretty good lucy and he didnt trip AT ALL come to find ouut that he was taking serateraline,or some antidepressant like that so that why he didnt trip that was 400mics of awesome Lucy i cant get back now lol

As everyone has stated, just don't take any acid when you have anti-depressants in your system. Your either not going to trip, or have a bad time.
And might I add again, I don't think you should be dosing if you have depression. Just save your doses for later on in life when you feel better and aren't on any drugs.

I tried using psychedelics to cure mine and it never worked. I gave up and tried a high dose of MXE one night and haven't been the same since. I rarely have any negative thoughts or sadness. I felt so fucking happy for the first in my life once my intense trip was over. I felt something come down to me while I was laying on the floor in a conscious comatose and tell me everything was going to be okay and to stop worrying. I felt it stroke my hair and nurture me back to health mentally. Maybe it was just a hallucination, but at least I can say it worked.
