Divine Indian/Chinese/etc. music?
    #15721388 - 01/26/12 04:11 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

I've been listening this Timothy Leary's' album "turn on, tune in, drop out" and what really hits me are the last couple of instrumentals at the end, Re-entry and Epilogue. The sound of the "veena" (don't know which one is it) and the drums and all make an atmosphere so lovely you just want to float with it timelessly. I don't know if it's Indian folk or Chinese folk music-stylish... I would guess Indian.

I would be very happy to hear similar kind of "divine" Indian/Chinese music. It would be nice to hear some artists, suggestions or experiences from you so I can perfect my play-list.

May Radha and Krishna pour millions of divine orgasms on you

Hell yeah, I'm totally with you. I love "Re-entry" as well as the first track. And I myself have been trying to get into Indian and Chinese music!

Check this out. The Ravi Shankar album in particular is what you're looking for.

Ravi Shankar sucks. I asked about the Timothy Leary CD in an Indian Music store run by an older White gentleman. I played it for him and he said, you know what, this is just blues scales in combination with an Indian instrument. The style of music in question is upbeat and energetic. The thing I posted above (Google link) is bluesy. Ravi Shankar is dreadfully boring.
