Neutrinos are very cool too. just gave physics the finger last year by exceeding the speed of light

Wasn't that fucking awesome too.
Something to small to be seen, beating the speed of light.
I knew that speed would be broken one day. Space here we come!

There is some argument about that result still... It's trying to be repeated at FERMI Lab, with a similar experiment to my understanding. The conclusiveness is still kinda up in the air until it's independently repeated...

You're right, actually. I misread a source where I thought they were talking about the statistical significance of this but I was mistaken.

I have no idea what I'm talking about, either, though. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/8901001/Speed-of-light-broken-again-as-scientists-test-neutrino-result.html looks like the results have been independently confirmed.

When does the electron act like a wave and when does it act like a particle? Also how the fuck do they bind atoms together to form molecules?

From what I read in that article, they just repeated their previous test with slightly different conditions to improve on errors. No other labs have yet confirmed a similar result. The fact the second test improves some on the first is important, but still not conclusive. Part of science is continually testing results to insure they are correct. It's easy for something to become a theory, but for it to become law it must be well scrutinized...

Electron diffraction and motion about the nucleus.
Bonding.

Depends on the type of bonding, but through manipulation of electron densities about/between atoms.

That explains extremely little. How does this manipulated density create a solid bond between atoms?

The whole fact that if you observe them causes them to act differently is great. There is so much we still don't know.

We observe everything by use of photons. Electrons interact with photons via the electro-weak force, and electrons absorb photons to increase their energy. When electrons become excited (absorb photons that we use to observe them) they act differently. It's not as if the presence of a metaphysical third-party observer changes the system by observation, it is their interaction with photons that causes electrons to act differently.

The thing is thought that your retina is observing the photons emitted by the electron. Observed by your retina or not their still gonna be emitting the same level of photons so that is no explanation of the effect conscious observation has on a electrons state or placement.
