Random Question
    #15534442 - 12/18/11 11:14 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

What do you call one of those things that spins a person in a circle really fast to test how they respond to G forces?

They are used to test astronaughts and pilots.

I'm asking because I've heard stories about people having strange experiences on them similar to DMT entity type experiences and I'm interested in researching this.

Naa I was thinking of one that goes in a circle although that one might do the job - I'll try googling it...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-G_training

Quote:

Human centrifuges are exceptionally large centrifuges that test the reactions and tolerance of pilots and astronauts to acceleration above those experienced in the Earth's gravity.

The US Air Force at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico operates a human centrifuge. The centrifuge at Holloman AFB is operated by the aerospace physiology department for the purpose of training and evaluating prospective fighter pilots for high-g flight in Air Force fighter aircraft.

The use of large centrifuges to simulate a feeling of gravity has been proposed for future long-duration space missions. Exposure to this simulated gravity would prevent or reduce the bone decalcification and muscle atrophy that affect individuals exposed to long periods of freefall. An example of this can be seen aboard the Discovery spacecraft the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Man-rated centrifuges are made by AMST Systemtechnik in Austria (Austria Metall SystemTechnik), Latécoère in France, Environmental Tectonics Corporation (ETC) and Wyle Laboratories in the USA.

The machine that NASA Uses is called a G-force excellerator, and yes people experience a somewhat psychedelic state, but it is a pretty well known response to lose of blood to the brain. If you have ever been choked out you would probably be very familiar with the sensation. I don't think it has anything to do with DMT.

Thats the one!

Human centrifuges

No I didn't mean it had anything to do with DMT, what I said was I had heard reports of people encountering entities while riding on it similar to entity reports while under the influence of DMT.
