Omar Rodríguez-López...Everything the dude has done and been part of, De Facto, At The Drive-In, The Mars Volta, and all of his solo work & collaborations have been some of the most amazing music to enter my ears. Though he does often work with other musicians & artists that are talented as well....

The newer releases from The Mars Volta I'm not really diggin', but De-Loused in the Comatorium, and Frances the Mute are brilliant works of art in my opinion. Before I was really interested in psychedelics or even into smoking pot I would listen to those albums laying down with headphones on, in the dark and eyes shut. I would have to say I had some of my first "psychedelic like" experiences from doing that, and that's ultimately what pushed me to delve deeper into psych's.....The album "Amputechture" was nothing short of awesome either.

Pretty much all of the stuff from De Facto and At The Drive-In I thoroughly enjoy. And the majority of Omar's solo work impresses me very much so...Really, I absolutely adore his work. He will always be one of my favorite artists.

i went and saw the omar rodriguez lopez group last year and they blew me away, really good show.

i agree on all accounts...ATDI, de facto, volta, solo band...the guy is all around amazing.
