Stupid spores on the casing....

Well my friend picked a bunch more shrooms today..He checked them last night and the veils were shut, woke up today and tadaa the veils were open. After he picked them, the noticed purple stains ont he stem, and it turned outt o be dropped spores.
Obviously, some spores must have got on the casing somewhere. I hear this isn't ideal. Does anynoe have the scoop on what problems can arise from having spores on the casing, and how to take care of it early?
Also, if anyone mentions anything about a peroxide solution to be sprayed, I just want to make it clear that there are already a bunch of new pins coming up, if that would play a a factor in the decision to spray or not.

Never seen any negative results from spores being on a cake. Probably some mis-communication.

i have recently posted a question about spores on a casing to. It was my understanding that if spores fall no new pins will form there. However I could not get a definite answer.
Note: The above statement is not my own, it is from a FOAF

I think I have had a prob with this in the past but I'm not sure. The third flush was harvested a few days late, I had been out of town, and all the stalks were black with spores. I could also see that there was a visible layer on the casing. The point is that I was unable to get another flush, I usually can. Not sure if this ws because of all the spores or just exhausted substrate. just my two cents
