Stupid casing isn't colonizing

OK, a friend of mine put his cake in a casing over a week ago. He put a bottom layer of verm, and a thin fluffy top layer. Some of the Mycellium came up, and then he patched those areas. Some more came up, but not a lot..Then a pin developed a few days later while the casing is still in the dark and warm spot. he plucked that off, and left it in the spot. He checked today, and the mycellium has not covered anymore area of the top casing layer. Should he toss it in the terarrium now or keep waiting?

Whyd ur friend pick off the pin? Id say its def time to put it in the terrarium..he dont want his top layer completely covered or overlay might be a diff problem.

well i was advised by people on here to tell him to pick off the pin because you didnt want an uneven pinset, and t give the casing more time to be colonized .
