I think shroomery member Saturdayraining could help you. He was searching for this species and info on it for a while.... There are several threads on here by him regarding M. titans and a search for prints or culture. Im sure he will be interested in helping you ID these shrooms. Try a PM and see what happens

Hi Paradise,
My friend said he ate this mushroom several times, but I did not dare to try it.

Looks like Macrocybe titans to me but that it was grown with minimal light. All the pics I have seen of young fruitbodies in nature have brownish pileus. edit: Oh..... they do have a brownish pileus. Could be it!! Very cool bro.

Somebody post a couple of the pictures here please. I gave up after waiting several minutes and the first picture was only about half loaded. I pay $96/month for dial-up speed(wild blue satellite), but it's all I can get up here in the boonies. RR

I recently got a chance to see macrocybe growing at the same institute which perform DNA test, they really look great and quite similar to Calocybe. Will get a hold of culture from them eventually. Congrats for a great success Wbastz. Vishal.

Congrats from me too, Wilson!
From what I can see on the pictures, these look exactly like they should, but that's of course no safe ID.
I guess you already searched for detailed descriptions like this one: http://www.mushroomexpert.com/macrocybe_titans.html If all macroscopic details match, you may ask for assistance in the hunting forum. I'm pretty sure, somebody with a microscope and with experience can help checking microscopic features, if you send him a dried slice of a mature mushroom.

Hi JD,
This mushroom has a smell that does not make me remember any of the mushrooms that I already know. I can only say that it has a pleasant aroma.

Hi Carsten,
I see some differences between those mushrooms and the mushrooms that were cultivated at home. I think it is because those mushrooms grew up outdoors. Their caps are a little dried and cracked. My mushrooms were grown inside a plastic shelf (Martha style) where the relative humidity is controlled by an electronic humidistat very sensitive and accurate (done by me from a website). The humidistat controls an ultrasonic humidifier .
I am using a computer fan that introduces some fresh air into the shelves , controlled by a cyclic electronic timer. Grown in a controlled environment , the mushroom caps always remain smooth and don´t crack.
The mature gills have a light salmon (or cream) colour . The spore prints have a cream color. The spores do not germinate easily. I tried only once germinate them , but they did not germinate at all.
Cheers,
Wilson

That's right, I guess the white cap color of your mushrooms also reflects indoor conditions, while gill and spore color seem to match fine.
Interesting that you got it to fruit at these temps. Quite promising if it turns out to be M. titans.
In case somebody wants to do a microscopic examination, this old article might help: http://www.cybertruffle.org.uk/cyberliber/59575/0011/002/0425.htm You should really start another thread in the hunting forum. Maybe one of the experts there knows about more details to look for, if there are similar species in Brazil and if looking through a microscope is necessary at all.
Cheers, Carsten

Hi Carsten,
I have no dried or fresh mushrooms at the moment, because they have all been contaminated by a green mold on the final stage of growth, so I threw them all in the trash can. Some days before that, I collected some spore prints on glass plates.
I am preparing some grain spawn and I will make new tests soon. I am interested in cultivating this species, using a large volume of substrate (perhaps outdoors as well) , to verify the maximum size that they can reach and check their appearance when they are grown outdoors
Cheers,
Wilson
