well...consider this
I saw a post he made, that at first seemed like flaming/trolling... then I looked at it again...then again...then I finally realized that he wasn't trolling, he was making a very good point about something in human nature, and though he seemed like he was trolling/flaming, it was extremely relevant to the thread
such good points that I felt the urge to PM him for the first time ever
so I'm wondering if those posts were what he got banned for, because if so, it was an unjust reason and the depth of his point probably went over people's heads
but I also don't follow all of his posts, so I don't know if he really was going around trolling/flaming
Perhaps it was a mistake, or perhaps I am mistaken... some clarification would be nice

Bizzle,
The post he was banned for making has been edited to remove his comments, so if the post you feel might have been misunderstood is still present, it was not the post he was banned for.
I hope that helps.

He has been here since 09 and has over 9k posts. That means he was here a lot. Meaning he spend a lot of his time obviously being right here on the shroomery. I did not see his post either. Maybe hes always trolled.. But when you look at the numbers.. banned forever seems irrelevant

Bans are so lame, lost so many good members who were banned and never came back after it ended. Not to mention its not really a ban, its a suspension unless the person is banned for life. When you see "Your account has been banned", it really is a personal blow for regulars who visit often. Personally I would change the wording to "Your account has been suspended", and start suspending from the section they broke the rules in first, then if they continue to cause trouble, suspend from the forum for a few weeks to 3 months. 3 month+ forum wide bans are ridiculous and people tend to give up when they see that. Usually when a member acts out and breaks the rules, they are doing it due to an outside issue they are having, and usually they have time to reflect and correct the problem within 3 months. If they come back still causing problems after 3 months, a year ban should be considered before a perma-ban. Of course this would just be for regulars, not newb trolls and puppet accounts.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, my opinion, man :thedude:
ps. where's thedude graemlin I submitted a month ago!

Most bans lately are from greenhorn moderators like Newbie, Kid orgo ETC who overstep their bounds and just seem like mall cops or hall monitors of the shroomery. Another reason to stay out of the pub.
