I would like to move to Texas once I graduate college. This is for those of you who live there.

~How is it down there? As in the environment, nature, outdoors? What's it like?

~How are the people? Are they okay?

~Is it easy to get a job/make some money down there?

Why Texas?

Ok i'm from texas and i'm going to get in here before the shittalkers do

Texas is a great state.... if you are going to move here i would recommend
you move to Austin.

Austin is great for it's music, nature, food, and laid back atmosphere.

Texans are generally friendly people but do not tolerate
extreme personalities.... if you are chill and friendly and respectful
most Texans will be down to chill with you. Especially in Austin...

We have the greenbelt here in the city which is a 7-8 mile river and
trails with rock climbing and places to chill and smoke bud and drink.

Texas is the shit... I highly recommend you come by

Its my favorite state. People in cities are regular. Country people are conservative but generally nice or keep to themselves. Austin is best city. Mexcians are really cool and cook good. Cops outside of big cities are like nazis.

one of best state for job market.

Deserts, coast, granite hills, springs, forests, mexico.

*cue haters*

I am really laid back and I love meeting new people. I can relate to everyone in some way. Are there hippies there? I fit in well with them.

Yeah I'd have to agree with the ppl who say move to Austin...I've lived in Dallas my whole life and I think Texas as a whole is really chill. The vibe and the people in Austin are the best in Texas. Beware of the heat and humidity though.

i spent a lot of my life in SA, and houston, and now live in the midwest. there are some really shitty people down there, but there are some really cool people too. i feel a lot safer in the midwest than i did in texas, but i'd still like to move back there. Texas winter is much better than the midwest as well.

i suppose its like anywhere else, shitty people and cool people. i prefer the mild texas winter though.

Texas rocks!
San Antonio and Houston.

Texas seems like it never feels the recession pain that the rest of the country feels.
People are laid back and the women are nice!

Texas is about as far west as I`m ever going to go again without feeling plastic.

I've spent most of my life in Texas. Dallas & Houston (Houston currently). Meh. It's okay. I actually really like Houston (it's super diverse), but the summers are brutal. Dallas? Not a fan. Spent 14 years in Dallas.

I'm in Texas due to work but if I had the choice, I'd be somewhere else.

One thing I hate about Texas is the scenery. It blows. It's so....bland. I spent a few years in Wyoming and Utah, where they got mountains and big ass canyons. It was awesome.

Texas has nothing.

yeah nothing but the wildest sky you'll ever see come sunset along with some of the most hellish thunderstorms, dust storms, and even mud storms.
not to mention many of the beautiful lakes around north texas and central/south east texas.
there's also the gulf which is always a calm coast with generally warm waters.
there's even tons of beautiful forest area in southeast-east texas.

it really just depends where your at, but even in west texas you can witness sunsets like these before you go to bed every night.
