Alice is nice... Avatar is too involved for me LOTR might be ok... But depends... Sort of long for mushrooms?

I'd rather watch the inside of my eyelids than any of those on mushrooms, honestly.

Same here. I've seen Avatar and the LoTR trilogy on both mushrooms and acid and I gotta say that I find it a waste of trippy time. Enough special effects happening around you without needing the Hollywood type ones. Can't follow the plot anyways. Go out an chill with the trees. Just MHO.

avatar was near impossible to follow on acid but i guess the glow forest is cool lol . Its the season and sparklers are much cooler than a movie when youre tripping lol. plus then you get to be with the trees too

If you HAVE to watch a movie, Disney's Fantasia is it! I use it as a "rescue" film, when I'm so high and too anxious to do other activities outside of my secure house and bedroom. Put it on, listen to the classical pieces, keep the lights off and let the deep saturation of movie colors transilluminate your eyelids and enhance CEV's. Fucking awesome.

I've never watched Fantasia while tripping. I don't really remember ever seeing the whole thing actually. I know I should try it sometime.
Things I have really enjoyed watching while tripping...Are mostly music things like Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii especially, but any awesome concert video, The Song Remains the Same by Zeppelin, I think I'd try watching Yellow Submarine on a trip, this is all light tripping stuff, I don't usually try to watch things while I'm tripping really hard. Television is a definite no. Movies...well a lot of the good ones are intended to be intense psychologically, and that is magnified on psychedelics, so watching a movie on a trip is a bit like letting the director of the movie steer your journey in whichever direction he chose in making that film. So make sure it is something special. A lot of people think Lord of the Rings is something special but I just never could get into it. If you really dig it then sure, it would probably be cool, same goes for anything though I guess. The new Alice in Wonderland was a real disappointment for me, I will avoid ever having to watch that again because it totally sucked. Maybe it would have been more effective if I were on LSD instead of just really stoned. I enjoyed watching 2001: A Space Odyssey while tripping, I recommend that as well.

I watched Return of the King on mushrooms several months ago. It was quite enjoyable. Alice in Wonderland would probably be good too. I'm going to have to try that.
Years ago, I tripped with a couple of friends. They kicked me out so they could have crazy tripping sex. I was coming down and didn't feel like being alone, so I went and rang the doorbell at a pad where a few friends lived. My buddy answers the door, and I explain my predicament. He said "Oh, well we were about to put on The Last Unicorn if you want to chill here and watch it with us."
Best. Trip. Ever.

QFT - had the exact same experience. The preview in the theater made it seem like a perfect shroom movie, but I hated it.

If you're dead set on watching something, give Adventure Time a shot. It's a cartoon from CN that seems like it was tailor-made for tripping. I like to spread my trip time around various activities, and don't like to be stuck watching something long on tv. The episodes are like 10 minutes each, but they feel like eternity (obviously) and are definitely brain candy for trips.
All in all, just do what feels right!

I always loved eating mushrooms and just chillin', late at night, (can't sleep obviously) just lettin' it all soak in. Crackin' up at the TV and all of its' absurd junk, poppin' in a few movies, smoking insane amounts of chronic cannabis. I personally enjoyed Lord of the Rings, it always just totally blew my mind, no matter how many times I've seen it. Incredible trilogy. I always found myself curled up in a blanket out of fear/sheer excitement. I love the transcendence I get from mushies, I always end up feeling totally one with the universe. Beautiful experience every time.

I literally just finished watching Avatar hahahaha
I would and wouldn't recommend Avatar for tripping. I would imagine that it would be very beautiful to look at and some parts could really speak to you, but it's a very long movie so following the whole movie could be hard...
I wouldn't care for Lord of the Rings personally.. Alice In Wonderland might be good, but I would pick a movie that I know I would enjoy that's short enough to pay attention to, like around an hour long.
