green mold

i had 4 jars that didn't start and they grew into solid green cakes I cleaned them out of the jars shortly after I had resptory problems is that from the mold and if not what health risks can you get from green mold :shocked:

I think it depends on what mold it is..I had some cakes that went all green as well...before I got my spores I purposely let some jars get contaminated..I wanted too see it in action..and also wanted too make sure my brown rice flour was organic and would support mold...anyways when I cleaned it out it was very dusty and I inhaled some of the dust but it had no ill effects(tho I was a lil nervous for a few days)

Some molds can be dangerous, if you feel sick, pay a visit to the hospital.

Sound advice as always. I simply wish we could find some way of saving people from that sad fate....If I could think of a way to instill a proper respect for contams, yet not scare everyone away from the hobby, without resorting to horror-stories...

Probabilities are low but better safe than sorry. You just have to think about the events of exposal and relate them with your health condition, then decide. Science, medicine and their analisys will work when you're at the hospital, not before.
