Hello hello. So, i just bought a "KleenGuard" brand (All-Purpose Coverall) suit at home depote. I open it to realize what i thought were divots in the fabric are actually holes.....If i layer it, will that be a problem? It says tested to 0.3 microns or larger, so i think that fabric is sound....but....the holes. Anyone ever used this folded up with no problems?
And also, i plan to seal tyvek to both sides of an inch and a half peice of tubing with silicon. Then, stick it through a hole in the top of the jar for a snug fit, and seal with silicon. That should keep me filtered, not wick contams in cus the out-side filter stays dry, and allow for plenty of gas exchange......right?
I love answers help me out!

Tyvek sucks, for $12 you can have filters that really work for 50 or more lids and they are re usable, the lid will wear out long b4 the filter. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=14186384&page=0&vc=1#14186384

That Kleenguard suit isn't Tyvek, it's somewhat similar, but I don't think it sheds water as well as Tyvek. If you don't see the Tyvek logo sticker on it...it's not what you think.

Tyvek is very good stuff and yes it is a brandname so what you have is not it. You prob got to go to a lowes/hodepo to get what you need, but it will clearly say tyvek on it...
But... I tell you a secret!
You can get all the tyvek envelopes shipped to you for free from the USPS. Here is the link, just hit the order button, checkout, and fill in shipping info. It is all free, your taxpayer dollars fund it, so use it!! https://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10052&productId=10000228&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10000002&top_category=10000002&categoryId=10000032&top=¤tPage=0&sort=&viewAll=N&rn=CategoriesDisplay&WT.ac=10000228
-------------------- Evolution is Lamarckism in disguise. Adaptation never creates a new species or trait, but rather the new species/trait always existed within the parent DNA until circumstances allowed it to be activated. For instance, every wolf has the DNA for poodles, but that DNA would never be revealed without man selectively breeding for it.

Tyvek pores expand in the heat of the PC making it less effective, that is what RR told me, SFDs are the only way to go IMHO.

True, Tyvek fails over time, but it's not hard to replace it every 3 runs or whatever. Kind of a hassle to cut them all up to the right size, but whatever. It's cheap and available.
