Mixing up substrate?
    #1431388 - 04/05/03 01:05 PM (20 years, 11 months ago)

Hey my cat, told me that he was gonna mix up some substrate, but he didn't plan ahead very well and had to stop the process, and put the big pot under the bed... anyway i asume that it doesnt really matter if you sterile or not, during sterilization process, becouse when you sterilize jars you basicly kill of the nasty stuff..

will it be ok?

and one more question, cat was using pf max tek, and he followed it, although he thinks he has alittle more verm then flour in the big pot.. just alittle bit, and when you touch the substrate with hands should you be able to scweese any water out of it?

this is my cats last atempt to do pf tek, first time he was succefull, 2nd time not, and this is his 3rd time...

My frogs say it's cool. Any contaminating agents that got in will be killed off if you pc.

As for the amounts of flour to verm, my frogs aren't sure. I, however, would say that since flour can often compress the amount of flour used most likely commonly varies by weight and it shouldn't be a problem.
