1st flush cakes as spawn?

a friend has some cakes that produced a nice first flush as cakes. They refuse to make a second flush. Do you think these cakes would be primo for grinding and using as spawn to some compost and straw? If so, what precautions should I take?thanks.

Sure. Grind the cakes with a cheese grater and be as clean as possible. :smile:
