growing in shed possible?

Hey guys, I live in PA and I was wondering if it'd be possible to grow in a shed this summer or maybe late spring? It's typically in the 60s at night and 70s through low 80s during the day. Someone said that contamination would be a problem but what could I do to mitigate that...sweep real good and dust everything down?
Just wondering if this idea is feasible. I realize it's still winter but if it's doable I'd like to start reading up on mushroom cultivation now

I dont see why not, i can see the shed getting wayyy to hot in a PA summer tho, so ventilation would be necessary. And if u have full reign over the shed, then u could make it one hell of a grow room if u cleaned everything, and made it close to sterile. maybe even eventially putting in a flow hood. I personally would love to have a shed to myself for growing!! Better start doing your HW Good luck

yeah that's why i was thinking maybe late May would be best to attempt this.
if i have any days that are way too hot i can probably move them down to my basement and visca verse for days too cold.
as for ventilation I have a window and I can have a fan running during the day.

PA, the shed dont get that hot in summer. I find my shed to actually be pretty decent during the day time. Id clean everything and possibly put plastic down or something in your work area. If people are going in and out all the time, it would be alot harder. Section off the back of the shed or something.
Or ditch the shed and put em in the ground

I live in Texas. One night last summer my shed caught on fire I only noticed because I keep ammunition in there and they started going off.

And these mushrooms grow wild where you are. A shed in PA is fine.

I didn't realize I could grow them in the ground reliably. That's good to hear, think i'll look into to doing that instead.

If you can move them there why not just keep them there? Then you could just do it whenever, and not worry about the heat...
