There was a little while there where I felt like I was losing all my connections and it had me a little frustrated.  But that's not exactly the case as I see it now.  I really am starting to see a very positive trend in the community.  It seems like people are learning to space their trips out more and allow the insight that much more time to sink in.  It's good.  I like it.

I just managed to get a hold of some mescaline and I shared some with one of my best friends.  He started asking me if it was like acid and if he'd have 'permagrin'.  I found a good amount of humor in his questions.  It's like the terminology we used when we were younger just doesn't apply anymore.  What the hell is permagrin anyway?  I mean I know what it is but what's the value of it (aside from being entertaining to look at)?  All I can think of when I hear stuff like that now is the near 'permanent' wave of betterment that I can achieve through occasional responsible use of choice sacramental substances.

Mescaline doesn't really last 12 hours.  It lasts a lifetime.

Eventually we'll all be high on life.  I love that shit.

Don't get me wrong.  I mean, I'll never stop trippin completely.

It just feels good to get to that point where you feel like you're at the zenith.

I asked a friend the other day (a friend I've known half my life and is aware of some of my dealings with psychedelics) if he would consider doing shrooms with me.

He immediately responded, "Will there be girls?"

Honestly, this kid's like a brother to me.  I even work with him so we know each other pretty damn well.  But he was the one that turned me on to this stuff (via acid many moons ago) and I just happened to be the more chemically inclined one.  So it really has benefited him back pretty substantially.

He cracks me up sometimes though.  I thought sure he'd tried mescaline before.  But then he asks me if you can sniff it.  It's like, 'Wow, you really like sticking shit up your snotbox huh?'
