100 aborted bird fetuses mixed with a cow's titty milk thats then held at near boiling tempatures for an hour, spiced, and then shipped to a store near you to sit on a shelf for a few weeks, which then gets mixed with alcohol to make you forget about all the babies that were killed to quench your thirst for 5 minutes

I buy eggnog every year thinking "maybe this time I'll like it". It hasn't happened for me yet though. Ima go with tyrannicalrex on this one and stick with coco and peppermint schnapps for a holiday drink.

Honestly, not on hand. I have to ask my gf's mom each year. Google around, they are fairly simple, or very complex, depending on what you like.

I've just started making it...
The 1 pint whole milk + 1 pint heavy whipping cream can be replaced with 1 quart half and half from the recipes I've seen.
I'm looking into using brown sugar in place of white sugar too, but the successful batches I've made have been with white sugar.
(Next time, I was going to use 3 oz. white sugar with the yolks and 1.5 oz. brown sugar with the whites.)
4 eggs, separated
4.5 oz. sugar
1 pint whole milk
1 pint heavy whipping cream
5 oz. bourbon
2.5 oz. spiced rum
2.5 oz. dark Jamaican rum
fresh nutmeg
Beat egg yolks with 3 oz. sugar.
Add alcohol slowly, still beating.
Add milk and cream, slowly beating.
Beat egg whites until stiff, beat in 1.5 oz. sugar.
Fold in egg white mix.
Chill thoroughly.
Top with grated nutmeg.
