HBWR and San Pedro
    #13443627 - 11/06/10 02:02 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I've finally got 3 big beautiful HBWR plants I've grown from seed(Hawaiian Strain). It's almost been 2 years. The leaves are elephant sized..

I kept them in full sun this year, I brought them inside just a few moments ago.

Would fertilizing them a lot help to get them to bloom next year? I have them in what looks like 20 to 30 gallon pots.

As for the Pedro, I built an outside greenhouse made of sliding glass doors and formed an insulation with a thick bubble wrap like material..I have an aquarium heater in the center to keep it warm when it snows.

Most all of them have rooted this year except for two of them, hopefully after the next growing season I will have a bounty of results to post.

I thank all of you for the tips I've received on growth and through some trial and error I've managed to get myself a nice little ethno garden. I also did a vegetable garden and started some blueberry and strawberry plants.

This will be my first winter. Any tips from the experienced would be a great help.

Sorta sounds like you're all sorted. Perhaps if you asked a more specific question you'd get some answers.

I give up growing in Winter and go mushroom hunting instead.:stoned:

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but Winters here aren't too severe. I generally just move frost sensitive plants undercover and limit water to a minimum as plants don't grow much if at all and too much water will kill them, especially coupled with cold temperatures.
