Scale accuracy measurement - pics, please have a gander

I have just bought a scale, which is in fact a digital kitchen scale but I believe it is accurate enough for my purposes (and is certainly better than nothing). I have already weighed pennies and quarters on it, and gotten what appear to be satisfactory measurements - but it's a bit tricky since it only weighs in 2 gram or 1/8th ounce increments. Anyway, after some fiddling around, I took a couple of pictures of what this scale identifies as 1/8th of an ounce of dried mushrooms. Does this look at least ballpark accurate to you guys?

yes.

+/- 1 gram is far too much uncertainty, imho. i would hate to think i was eating 3 grams when in fact it's 4 (or 2). but yes it is better than nothing.

In recognition of its inaccuracy, I throw on enough shrooms so it says 4 grams, then take some off until it says 2, and then put back about half of what I took off. Seems to work.

those shrooms are pretty small. that's a quarter in the picture.
