So Steve Vai Trips 1

He uses a lot of symbolism in his works and speaks of different levels of consciousness that can't be explained in words...
Anyone know of any links or some of his religious or mystical views? I can't find much but I'm pretty damn convinced tripping was part of his ongoing career...I mean, he did make the Ibanez universe and a set of other trippy ass looking guitars...
In his passion and warfare interview he seems to have that nervous edge that constant use of psychs can bring about, then again it could be mild camera shyness...I doubt that though, he's almost solely in love with himself.
At the end of "for the love of god" there is a claim that he is christian pagan? Wtf is that all about?
Can anyone enlighten the situation please??
The passion and warfare cd cover has alot of goodies on it.

No idea but if he did he obviously did it after he left Zappa's band as he was probably very deprived at that point.

A lot of people are strange(in a good way)it dosen't mean they take psychedelics. Look at Frank Zappa he never used drugs and he was way the fuck out there.

Not everyone in the 60 used drugs. There is a lot of creative people that don't use drugs. And thanks for the dirty foolish hippie remark. Very nice

idiot.
frank zappa hated hippies... hence my remark. way to fall into that one, you dumb filthy hipster doofus.
i swear.... the shroomery needs a cache dump...
troll? my opinion on frank zappa's idea of hippies is trolling? oh well... i think he would agree that most people here are dirty hippies and i share that opinion... on the grounds that it is an obvious fact, if you look it up, that he didn't think much of hippies; i spoke on that shared opinion i have with him.
and he probably did do acid... just doesn't want you to think so... and if he didn't then whatever. doesn't change the fact that he hated hippies.
response to ponce that deleted his post.

Ive been listenin to Zappa and Vai since I was a little little kid, as my dad (who also did a shit ton of acid when I was a kid) was really into Zappa and Kansas and all that progressive shit. I personally think Zappa did a lil Lucy here and there... listen to Alfonzo's Pancake Breakfast.. you'll see what I mean. Its Zappa's closest work to The Beatles "For The Benefit of Mr. Kite", which was an LSD induced writing.

thank you for affirming my suspicions.
and before anyone states how it's impossible cause zappa said that he didn't do any acid and he hated people who did acid in his group because he thought it made people think like idiots and blah blah blah...
i ask you to remember and keep in mind that zappa was a joker... and a visionary. and that every band in those days that did drugs openly admitted it, as if it was to say that because of acid they were able to make the sound of music that they did. and keep in mind that alot of bands back then legitimately thought that acid really did make them play the way they did and even claimed that it help them play AS GOOD as they did.
zappa wasn't for that... in my opinion... so in my opinion... he stated how he hated this and that and didn't do drugs and shit... because he is not a FOOL.
