couple id requests please

I've been seeing these all over the place. My first thought was beefsteak polypore but I'm not sure. The sad part is that I just took a class on polypores. The flesh is pretty soft, in any case.
And then these I've been finding in pretty decent numbers in leaf litter. I'm thinking clitocybe of some type. Can someone id it to the species? I'll make a print if need be. Thanks!

Clitocybe seems likely for the second one. Could you fill out the ID request form for it. That would help to ID it. Such as what habitat you found it in? What was it growing from?

Top one looks like a type of reishi mushrooms.

Reishi refers specifically to Ganoderma lucidum.

Reishi refers specifically to Ganoderma lucidum.
This is why I try to learn the actual scientific name as opposed to the common names for mushrooms, because then there is no confusion about what you are talking about.

Ok, hows this...it looks like a type of Reishi to me. Next time I try to be more specific. I wasn't sure of the exact name and actually Ganoderma lucidum is not the only type of reishi.

That's what I'm saying. It's not a type of reishi. Reishi is Ganoderma luicidum and ok, maybe tsugae also, and this is not that.

The clitocybes were growing in a clearance in mixed woods in leaf debris. There was quite a few of them. They grew in clusters and almost in a fairy ring. The stems are no more than a few inches tall. But the cap diameters were anywhere from a couple inches to about the length of my hand.
I think it's clitocybe robusta. Not a giant clitocybe. But pretty big.
Now I'm hoping someone can put my mind at ease a little. I ran out of my house for a while before and my cat managed to get in the room that I had this guy in (didn't think he could get in). When I got back, it was on the floor in pieces. Didn't look like my cat got any more than a tiny nibble out of it. But it still has me worried. If it's clitocybe robusta, it's listed as inedible only. So probably not a major cause for concern. Can anyone concur with that?
I'm never letting some shit like this happen again. ugh! Aside from this it's actually been a good mushroom week.

Ganoderma Luicidum is a type of Reishi. What about Ganoderma sinensis?? That is another type of Reishi. The reishi species expands beyond Ganoderma Luicidum. I am just not familar with them. I still think it looks like some sort of Reishi.

I think ganoderma is unlikely, I know of no, "furry" ones. Clitocybe irina seems to match, what was the smell. bondarzewia montana seems closer to no.1

Possible but I just find it strange to use a common name when the species is unknown. A genus guess seems a safer option.

I agree. It does resemble a fresh ganoderma lucidum...it was just a guess. http://manamushrooms.com/fungi-varieties/ganoderma-lucidum

Thank you for that. I think Clitocybe irina looks pretty good. And I'm seeing that it's edible so that's good. My cat seems fine. I was just worried. I try to be really cautious about this kinda stuff.
I don't think the first one is a ganoderma at all but I can see how people would think that from the picture. It is pretty 'furry'. Could be bondarzewia. I'm still a little puzzled on that one.

The polypore could be Pycnoporus cinnabarinus. Did it have a red pore surface?
