I have done a search and have found very little information. I read the nutritional information and it is not a good substrate because it is low in carbohydrates. I was wondering if it would be a good additive to say BRF. It's low in fat, high in protein and vitamins.

ive read about people using wheat germ somwere in myco, cant remember what, possibly agar additive

well what needs to be in a good substrate? i mean we do eat it, even tho it tastes like dead ants. cause i dont eat alive ones ya know!
Also, do u need to pressure cook it before you mix it in with BRF. Because it is a grain, you must perform tyndallization or a fractional sterilization im going pressure cook it and mix it in with a BRF. Just in Case it does nothing, then ill research(or wait for a reply) to do a whole wheat germ substrate.

i did two jars. wheatgerm hold alot of water and is hard to squeeze out.
they both fucked up. one small jar and one large jar
now is fuxored. and we had to throw them both out.
smelt really bad , and i dont reccommend doing it again.

The idea graced my mind of ripping the label off the bottle, pressure cooking it, and then inoculating it.
