Finally...New Brunswick Psilocybe caerulipes (more pics 9-10)
    #13111458 - 08/27/10 07:51 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

Found at Odell Park in Fredericton, NB Canada on a Beech branch.

Pics done on my bro's HTC legend so you arnt able to see the deep blue in the aborts or at the stem bases. (BUT IT WAS THERE!)

These are done at home on my Canon Digital Elph (check out the bluing caps :tongue2: )

The freshest youngest two.

Thats it! BOOYAH.

Is this your first bluefoot find? How long did it take you to find them? Are they known from New Brunswick? You must get good liberty caps up there...

Yup first find.
I was going back to the park to pick more Hericium and on our walk back we took a different path than when we came and we came out on one of the main trails and along that trail was the branch they were growing on next to a NEW patch of hericium that I hadnt found before. Ill get some habitat picks later because it looks nothin like vjp's habitat. althought i Probably shouldnt say that its pretty much the same except there's huge white pines scattered through this habitat

I dont know if they are KNOWN from new brunswick but im pretty sure PMOTW says they're found in Maine..and its cousin Ps quebecensis is from quebec eh? only diff would be i suppose PQ likes riparian habitats with sandy soils and the caerulipes like straight up hardwood.

heroic doses of liberty caps are found in front yards out in the country (mine and many others apparently  )

Well done paradise! Finding caerulipes is not as easy as a walk in the park. You must have a good eye and a lot of patience. Im definatley interested in a habitat shot if you can get one.
