Natures gift.
    #12886113 - 07/12/10 08:14 AM (13 years, 8 months ago)

The sociopath. Imo this is some pretty good evidence of what is important to nature and how our world really functions. Now if you know about the sociopath you know that they don't  feel the pains of conscience, remorse or guilt are something they no longer can feel. They actually are quite relaxed and stress free people because of this. Yet they will do ANYTHING to get what they want. Psychologically it looks like they suffered severe physical and or emotional abuse at a critical time in their development. Now if the goal of life is really basically about survival until reproduction the sociopath has developed a technique to survive and nature doesn't care about what they feel or do in the world or to others. It's certainly not that they can feel remorse for doing bad things or be swayed by teachings on Love (which they cannot feel or feel the lack of) or friendship or compassion or any of this stuff we claim is the ultimate goal of life.

How interesting.

I want to kill them myself. I consider them extremely dangerous and stats say that 5% of the populace is sociopath or psychopath.

I think this kid (the barefoot bandit) is a sociopath:

I think you can even see it in his face.

why would the goal of life be to feel love for eachother?

do animals really love eachother?

what if loving eachother is merely something that should only be done by all those who can

Well that's what I was wondering?

Love and all other emotions are just part of the evolutionary adaptive puzzle imo and we don't know what meaning life might have.

Is love the meaning of life?
Forget that shit.
I don't even think that phrase means anything.

But is love a worthwhile goal?
IMO the answer is very obviously yes.
Everyone likes love. Love and liking are almost synonymous.
More love --> more happiness. It's almost a one-to-one equation.
Therefore, at least among people capable of love, making more love is a collective goal that's well worth pursuing.

What about sociopaths?
I really don't know. It depends what makes them happy, if anything.
All I'll say is that, if their happiness goals are at odds with everyone else's, then fuck 'em.
Majority rule, or whatever you wanna invoke to say "we're worth more than them."

Majority rule?  That certainly can work against love too. You must be joking or have not thought too hard about that one.

Let me ask you a question. If everyone wants love so much then why does there seem to be a lack in the world?

'Cause people are shitty at getting what they want, or even coherently understanding what they want.

Because everyone wants love, but not everyone wants to put forth the effort it takes to give love?

This is the answer I most agree with. Love is a rare bird imo. It can only be  unconditional and still really be love. And as a benchmark it's there but in reality it's rarely achieved.

I have experienced real love for a two month period.

It was insane, people around me could instantly tell, it changed all my relationships, opened up the world, there was no stress, it was like tripping.

And then just like tripping my mind slowly closed back up again, returned to its deeply ingrained habits
