I've got an outdoor cultivation question

About 2 days ago I spawned my 18 gallon monotub (5 quarts Camodian to about 10 quarts of coir/verm bulk substrate) and had 1 jar left over of cambodian.I decided to take that jar out back to a giant tree planter I have full of soil and layed down a layer of coir/verm bulk substrate and then dumped the jars contents over that, then covered with more coir/vermiculite bulk substrate and a little vermiculite on top of that.
Later that night the rain started and it has been going on ever since (seriously maybe like an hour break here and there between rain storms) and I was wondering, should I put some sort of cover over the planter in fear of the spawn and bulk substrate getting drowned or will it be fine?
I need to get to the store to buy a shoebox or two so I can spawn this quart of Treasure coast to a mini mono, otherwise I am going to put it in a seperate part of the planter and spawn it outdoors as well.
So,I'd like to hear answers from those of you familiar with outdoor cultivation, and maybe even some TC's.

As it so happens I have 4 monotub substates that I put out in the garden on top of the ground covered with a a little straw to keep the humidity up. they are doin great (treasure coast strain). they were not fully colinised when I put them out. I had a light leak and they pinned early and aborted and then contaminated. IT took a two weeks for them to finish colinising for the next flush but I pulled 10 dry oz from them yesterday. Contamination slowed to a standstill and they should get at least another flush. I might cover them with a blavk trashbag if your just starting to keep the fae down until you get close to full colinization.

Well I don't have my monotub outside, just one jar of cambodian spawned to coir/vermiculite outside.I didn't want to up the spawn:bulk ratio of the monotub (which is at a 1:2 ratio) so I took the remaining jar outside and spawned it to a little coir/vermiculite in a big tree planter outback full of soil.
Just wondering if I should cover it with all this rain or if it will do fine.

My tubs are not out side just the substrate that goes in them. I would cover until you get close to colinzation

Yes you want your out door patch covered. Until full colonization.
This will keep your CO2 levels high. For your colonizing out door substrate
Make sure there is holes in your cover. To allow for gases to exchange. While your outdoor sub is colonizing.
A sheet of plastic. With slashes sliced into it will suffice.
When your sub is fully colonized. Take off plastic. Cover with grass clippings. And water in the morning.
Using coir as your out door bulk sub. Will fair thee well.
For better results. Use manure instead of coir.
Spent and Contaminated Substrates. Here's a Solution! HL

If you cover it with plastic or grass can mold set in? I just covered mine with a layer of dry verm and it did well.

anonjon,
Welcome back!
For colonization.
Holes slashed into the plastic. Will allow for gases to exchange.
I use grass clippings for colonization and fruiting.
Important for colonization is high humidity. (95-100%) As well as high CO2 levels.
Do not water everyday. While substrate is colonizing. Under it's cover.
Make sure it stays hydrated.
For fruiting. Remove the plastic.
Replace plastic cover with. Grass clippings or straw. As stated earlier.
This will allow ample amounts of fresh air. While keeping that micro climate of humidity. Underneath the casing cover.
Releasing the moisture of the substrate. When air moves across your substrate.
Creating you and your mushrooms. That micro climate of humidity.
Your mushrooms number 1 pinning trigger. HL
