Dripshield and ultrasonic humidifier
    #1284559 - 02/06/03 08:22 AM (21 years, 1 month ago)

Ok, the basic terrarium says to put a drip shield so that when you mist droplets dont get onto the cakes. If you are using an ultrasonic humidifier with 4 bottles filtering it and its going to casings, not cakes, then do you still need the drip shield?

Thanks

i did that - bottles between humidifier and drip shield, then found both to be obsolete. fun to do, though
put the hum.on a strict timer. decrease humidity or treat the lid so the dripshield is unnecessary.

i didnt find it necessary to use the bottles with a timer cause you can just calibrate it perfectly. I did put in a drip shield though because my cakes were getting a little too wet from dripping condensation
