I think I birthed the cakes prematurely. For some reason I thought they were pinning but they weren't. The cakes are fully colonized, and on two or three of them, little mushrooms have popped up in the vermiculite layer. Is this going affect the cakes in any adverse way?
Also, I've been trying to cold shock the little bastards outside, but it's hard to do without freezing them entirely. Should I dunk and shock the cakes in the fridge?

just put them in the fruiting chamber and give them light, proper temp and humidity, and fan them several times a day.
