In low humidity climates how do YOU achieve good RH along with good FAE?

Subject says it all...let's say you live in a generally low humidity area, like between 10% and 30% throughout the year. How do YOU achieve a decent RH while also achieving good air exchange? Of course if you mist/fan 27 times per day you'll do alright, but I'm seeking to know how you do it with less interaction.
Are you forced to case everytime? Do you use wax paper? Looking for things people have done to achieve both without treating tubs/trays/etc like infants and tending to them every half hour...
As always, thanks in advance!

Keep a humidifier running outside your fruiting mechanism to raise the ambient humidity.
A proper casing will always benefit you.

Already have a Vick's coolmist running 6 times per day for 1.5 hours each time (on middle setting). It's a dry ass climate though! Not an easy balance to maintain...

Sounds like job for a casing layer. Use a casing layer of straight verm, 50/50 verm/peat moss, or 50/50 verm/peat moss + 4% agricultural hydrated lime and 15% crushed oyster shell by volume. A casing layer serves to keep your substrate moist (amongst other things) if you are using a 3 inch or more thick substrate you may be ok with out one. My regions relative humidity is high but if it wasn't I would consider considering using a casing layer.

If you're running it in the room, just run it 24/7 if your climate is very dry. I run a humidifier 24/7 all winter when I'm heating with a wood stove.
Other than the humidifier for your own comfort, a shotgun terrarium will maintain humidity fine in a desert climate. RR
