After inculating my jars should I put them in a sunny window or leave them in a dark place until the colonize?

Thats what I thought, but it says in the PF TEK method to keep them in indirect sunlight. Why?

Hmmmm.....I'm not sure actually. That may be there to help trigger pinning invitro. I think they're basically saying that some light is ok.....errr....why is that there?
