Same fucking problem over and over...
I do jars PFtek style, using LOTS of different substrates, even used grain...
I innoculate, colonize 100%, put in fruiting chamber...Optimum temps, have a bubbler inside with H202, getting ggod light, NO PINNS! They can sit in there for 2 months until contams set in or I attempt to case them, but THEY NEVER PINN!
I've cold shocked, dunked, and shit! NO PINS! Do you know what a tease it is? I'm contemplating just extracting from cakes from now on, cause I know I could colonize like 100 jars if I wanted too...
Right now, I have 2- 1 pint jars that are only half full, of grain fully colonized(I packed jar #1 too tightly so I had to sterilize jar #2 and drop in fully colonised substrate to make room)I want to fruit in the jars since theres room and I've never tried before.
Anyways, today I cold shocked the jars in the fridge for 10 hours, and now they got fresh air and are under a reading lamp with a black sock half way up the jar to block side pins(but any would be nice)...NEVER SEEN A FRESH PIN IN MY LIFE!
I CAN NOT GROW SHROOMS!!!!!!!What do I do?

Is your incubation temps around 10 degrees more then your fruiting temps? Have you been trying the same strain or have you tried different strains with the same results, because if your getting no pins then its possible its just a moody strain...

Nope, I first tried PES HAWAIIAN, then malabar with NO success, but I hear they need higher temps,
The ones in question now are I believe a print from a WILD cube in texas, hard to tell...I got it from F.S.R.C.
I believe it's wild cause it colonized 12 pint of substrate 50/50 grain vermiculite in 5-6 days 100%...BUT NO DAMN PINS!

Yea, your growing COB WEB MOLD, its white and sorta looks like mycelium except that it is not WHITE WHITE and is sorta transparent and doesnt have the strands or tiny tiny lines that mycelium has. My opionion is that you need to work on your sterilizing methods that should be your number 1 goal.

Nothing other than green mold (which starts out white WHITE) or Cobweb colonizes in 5 to 6 days...

What does it being wild have anything to do with it colonizing your grain in 5-6 days??? If it was a wild print, you'd probably have to start off with agar first.

Okay...If I can find someone to email the pics to, and they can put them up for me, then I can take a few pics a prove it's NOT cobweb, and yes it DID colonize that quick...I'll soon have the pics to prove...
Oh yeah, the jars aren't exactly HALF full...So not EXACTLY 1/2 pint each...
And sorry for being snappy, Broke up with my girlfriend a few hours before posting that and still no pinns!

K, I have a few pics of the "Mycellium"...So, does cob web turn blue when touched after about 15 minuts? Didn't think so...I what I have, is a jar full of Mycelium, I just cant get it to pin! Temp is at a steady 70F and don't have to worry about humidity, as you'll see in pictures(As soon as I find someone to help put them up)

Yeah that damn green mold. When it first arrives it looks like mycelium but is more....bubbely I guess. It is in small balls stuck togethar and isn't whispy or stringy. After a day or so it starts turning green.
