It matters on what you do. I spawned to straw, im going to case in a few days. I made two small casings instead of a larger one and due to my sterilization techniques (microwave) I lost one of the bulk straws to bacteria. The other is fine and growing very well. I just didnt want only a quarter or so dried from my twenty dollar bag. Im using GT and the growth is really good.

It get crowded in the bag. I took one out of the bag and fruited it in a terrarium, and cased the other one. They're still growing right now, so I can't give any numbers yet. There are really no advantages of keeping it in the bag. It's fully colonized, so there's a very small chance it'll get contaminated.

I would deffinately case it. It will improve yield, and flushes. More food for the mycelium to eat.

My bad, I meant I will use the bags as spawn, on cow dung, and straw, then case it, thereby increasing the yield.

When I tried it out, I left it in the bag and dunked between flushes, it worked very well.
