Hey everyone,

i am new to this board but not completely new to shrooms. ive tripped once before off of some friend's shrooms. just recently i bought some shrooms off of a gal i met at a phish show. she seemed cool and all and not what i would call "sketchy". from what i can tell these look like normal dried cubensis, but since i dont know the person who i got them from, it would ease my nerves if i found a way to assure the validity of these shrooms. is there anyway to identify these dried shrooms without being an expert or reading lots of books? has anyone had any bad experiences with eating "bad" shrooms. and would anyone really go to the trouble to sell someone just gourmet (or poisionous, ouch!) shrooms? any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance!

i dont have the means to get a pic transfered onto my computer, but it basically looks like any of the pics of dried cubensis on sites such as erowid. they are relatively small shrooms ( average length of probably 4-7 centimeters, stem and cap). the caps are a crimson/golden/cinammony color, shriveled. they almost look like one of those underwater sea sponges (haha!). the stems are grey/whiteish-blue, looks like miniature driftwood (im good with the comparisons!). the stems are a little whiter towards the head and then they turn tan right when they meet the head. hope this helps with some insight...

if your nervous about them eat 1 or take a bite of one and see how you feel. i am shure they are fine thoe, they sound good any way
