it is rather stupid any one with a shred of common sense will realize even though your not saying its you directly and using something like it was a dream, SWIM or your dog 99% of people will immediatly realize you are talking about yourself unless there mentally handicapped or insanely naive

What's wrong with using Swim? Well, it's about as useful as getting pulled over, getting caught with paraphernalia, and telling the officer "It's not mine."
Forums that condone using "SWIM" or the like, are simply put, dumb... this is because of a few reasons:
1) If you're a dealer, pusher, grower, or chemist synthesizing drugs for sale (The only reason why the Police or DEA would care about you), they can track your IP, and find out where you live in minutes; besides, if you were one of these people, they already have all the records of every conversation and purchase you've made on the internet.
2) If you're just some dude or chick that does drugs, they could care less...
3) If it came down to a court situation, they would be able to pin point that it was you, exactly, who wrote whatever incriminating statement you made on the internet, and the usage of SWIM would technically be nullified. Besides the obvious scenarios you can try to create, in what situation would it actually help you in the case that you were prosecuted for Drug Possession, Manufacturing, Delivery, Distribution, Trafficking, or Cultivation?
If you actually think about it, it really doesn't make sense that people actually believe SWIM protects them or that the DEA or PD actually cares about what the hell you're doing (unless you're one of the people in reason #1) and for the most part, forums that do require using it are annoying, because you'll notice reading posts with SWIM can become extremely confusing.

You don't have to worry as long as you don't reveal yourself actually doing an illegal activity.
There's just not enough evidence, at least in the states, for them to do anything.
Hell, there's people on here that talk about cultivating mushrooms and pot and never get busted.

I gotta say swim is one of the reasons drugs-forum drives me insane. Hard to believe such intelligent people (because many of them are) believe that swim should be necessary. Ah well
