Is it ok to store jars after pc?

I would imagine so (as long as it's a relatively clean environment) but I just want to make sure.

I get tired of dragging my glovebox out every other day to inoculate a couple jars (i think i can fit 8-9 qrt jars in my pc)

so i would like to inoculate all of them at once in the same day!! :grin:

does any one else do this?:mushroom2:

It depends on how long you wish to store them... You could probably store them in the fridge for a week, but the risk of a bacterial contam, or some other contam developing increases with each day they are in storage.

It is best to not be lazy, and thus inoculate the jars as soon as possible.

Just as a side note: I never use a glove box and have no bigger problems with contams. It's worth a try, I guess.

But for the record: A glovebox is advised!

im sure some sticklers would say this a no-no, but ive done it
many times and never had any problems. i wouldnt store them for more than a few days though (3-4) tops. u could probably get away with more
but obviously the longer u wait the greater the possibility of a contam outbreak if the jar wasn't 100% colonized. Make sure u wipe the jars down though before innoc. if theyre being exposed to a dirty room or a room w/ lots of moving air.

a GB is not a must for inoculating jars but it helps.

Every jar will contaminate if you leave it alone for an amount of time. The point of inoculating them right away is so that the mycelium can build its fortress so to speak before the other contaminants become an issue. But a couple of days isn't an issue.

dont believe in glove boxes just did up 39 jars an only one got contamed. just be sterile, glove box is overkill if u ask me expesually just for nockin up jars g2g different story. only do lc to grain an they colonize in about 10 14 days.
