Cow Skull Project-Colonizing

Hi, I've been reading on the board for a while and have had multiple cube successes and am now wanting to do something cool to screw around with. I was inspired by Nexus1946's The Skull Project and have a cow skull from Brazil my dad's friend brought home from his travels. I would really like to grow shrooms out of a cow skull with cpoo sub cause its kinda creepy. I also plan to build some sort of hanging fruiting chamber so I can hang it on my wall and fruit it cuz it would look wicked badass. I'm not sure how I can clean the skull. My pressure cooker isn't big enough to hold could I pasteurize the skull in the oven or a large coleman cooler with hot water.
That is a standard envelope next to it just as a size reference. I was just wondering if anybody could suggest some way to clean up the skull further than just washing without a pressure cooker.
Update: I took the skull soaked it with soap and water for 15 min or so. Then I did like an old laundry move and pumped the skull up and down in the trashcan it was soaking in to wash it. Out of the bath she came had a good rinse and went into a 250F oven. I pasteurized my sub earlier and when it was appropriately cool took the skull from the oven and put it outdoors where its about 40 for ten min. This was to encourage cracking in the bone structure and worked quite well. While the skull was outdoors I spawned to my sub. Then it was time to fill I started with the brain cavity, then stuffed the horns, I figure shrooms growing out of the horns would be about as grovin as can get. I then filled the eyes Then the nasal cavity I covered all the sub with verm except the nasal cavity cause it would have just fallen out Shes pretty dirty in the last pic but I cleaned her up a bit and wrapped 'er up in foil as prescribed by RR in Nexus1946 Skull Project. I now have it hanging in a locker I ground-scored that I keep in my house I'm going to check colonization in a few weeks or so so I will update then or when I build the FC for this baby. I appericate all the comments.
I will update whenever I do anything with this project just hoping to get a bit of advice. Thankee to all at The Shroomery Good Vibes To All Trippers

poor fucking cow.
i bet never in it's living day did it even think for one moment that someone would kill it, stuff its face full of its own shit, and then grow psychedelic fungus out of it for the intent of tripping face.
im staying tuned, this should be pretty awesome!

Boil it in hot water or give it an alcohol dip. My guess.

Thanks for the responses I am with you I bet the cow had no clue what would be done with it after its death. I am going to soak the skull for a couple of hours in a cooler with hot water (180F aprox). During this time I will pasteurize some cowpoo gypsum coffee mix that I have been making recently. I will mix the spawn with my sub and stuff this into the skull in as many places as possible, I'm going to have to clean the hell outta a room cuz the skull also isn't going into my GB with any room to work. I'll get some pics and stuff while I'm doing this and update in the op. ~blur~

How do you plan on keeping the skull humid enough to support the flush?

i would pressure cook it if you can, if not at least replace the water with new boiling water every hour for 2-3 hours

The scull is mostly calcium, so I doubt there's much left to contaminate. Just wash it with soap and water before use. I'd mix about 50% vermiculite into that substrate. RR

Thanks Roger I forgot to mention verm in my other post but usually do add it, I had just though of how I had forgotten that. I will add a bit of soap to the water I'm using to soak rite now, and try to get it into all the crevices of the skull. Then give a good rinse after a bit. As to humidity I am going to contrive and build a special chamber designed to do what I want, I do foresee misting though. Thank to all ~blur~

Could you not just get away with wrapping it up in a plastic baggie? Even if you put a layer of perlite on the bottom with a small stand to raise the skull, you should get a nice humid environment.
Top idea, btw.

I'm not sure of the strain the spores weren't from a vendor, I bought them before I knew it. I just still had myc available to spawn and a cow skull around plus a little bit of inspiration. But if I had guess I think that it is GT. ~blur~

Whatever the strain, you should set that on a table when it flushes and you and some friends should carve off some shrooms like meat from a turkey. That would be the start of an interesting evening

Just wanted to throw up a week update. I unwraped 'er and as I did my heart started to fall, she had the cobweb. There were patches of cobweb on both eyes and in the lower nasal cavity. I used a peroxide solution and sprayed down the area's. The eyes were covered in dry verm so it was pretty chillin chillin. She also had up her nose a few tiny dots of the trick. These were removed with a hot blade. She they do appear to be to be colonizing. Good news her brain and horns were clean with nothing on the verm. Not giving up by any means, I have a good concept for my FC. Stay HIGH ~blur~
