2 Pac and Spirtuality
This song is really important in times like these!
Changes is one of the greatest songs wrote:
(i don't have the lyrics, so im just listening and writting down what i hear in the song)(A couple words may be incorrect)
Come on, Come on, i see no changes wake up in the morning and ask myself, is life worth living or should i blast myself, im tired of being poor and even worse im black and my stomach hurts so im looking for a purse to snatch.Cops give a damm about a niggo, pull the trigger and he's a hero, give gat to a kid to be and outkast, one less hungery mouth on welfare. Worth shit don't givem brothas, given guns step back and watch them kill each other, its time to fight back thats what huey said two shots in the dark now huey's dead. I got love for brotha, but we can never go anywhere with out sharing with each other. We got to make some changes, learn to see me as a brother instead of the two distant strangers. And thats how its supposed to be, how can i take a brother thats close to me, i'd love to back to the way we played as kids but things change, but thats the way it is....
Thats just the way it is, things will never be the same, thats just the way it is...
I see no changes, all i see is racist faces, misplaced hate makes misdiscrace to races, we under i wounder what it takes to makes this one better place, lets see race to replace this, take the evil out of the people they'll be acting right, there's no black or white we'd be smoking crack tonight, and the only time we chill is when we kill each other, it takes to be real to heal each other. (Something about a black president but i could make it out) It ain't a secert of seal to fact, the penatenury's packed, and its filled with blacks. But somethings will never change, try to show another way, but still slanying in the dope game, now tell me whats a mother to do, being real doesn't appeal to the brother in you. You got to operate the easy way, i made a G today, but you made it the sleazzy way, sellin crack to a kid - i gota get payed, but hey - its just the way it is
Thats just the way it is, things will never be the same, thats just the way it is...
We gota make a change, its time for us as a people to start making some changes, lets change the way we eat, lets change the way we live, and lets change the way we treat each other, you see the old ways aren't working so we need to do what we have to do to - survive. I see no changes, can a brotha get a little peace, there war on the streets and war in the middle east, instead of there being a war on hyprocrisy, theres a war on drugs so the police can bother me, and i never done a crime i didnt' have to do, now im back so im giving it back to you, don't let them jack you up, back you up, crack you up, and lip smack you up, ya gota learn to hold your own, they get jelous when they see you holding your mobile phone, but tell the cops they can't touch this, i don't trust this when they rush us to bust us. Got the sound of my two, just say it ain't cool, but mama didn't raise no fool. Cus i always gota worry about the payback, some buck that i ruffed up way back, coming back after all these years ratata ta tat - that the way it is.....
Thats just the way it is, things will never be the same, thats just the way it is...
Some things will never change!

I actually have a book of Tupac's poetry called The Rose That Grew From Concrete... He had some pretty good stuff.
Here's one of his poems that I think tells a little about his spirituality:
"In The Event Of My Demise"
In the event of my demise when my heart can beat no more I hope I die for a principle or a belief that I had lived 4 I will die before my time Because I feel the shadow's depth So much I wanted 2 accomplish Before I reached my death I have come 2 grips with the possibility and wiped the last tear from my eyes I loved all who were positive In the event of my demise!
-------------------- Namaste.

Hey alot of these lyrics are wrong!!
> "Cops give a damm about a niggo, pull the trigger and he's a hero, give gat to a > kid to be and outkast, one less hungery mouth on welfare."
"Cops give a damn about a negro, pull the trigga kill a nigga he's a hero, give a gat to the kid, who the hell cares, one less hungry mouth on the welfare."
"...take the evil out of the people they'll be acting right, cuz both black and white are smoking crack tonight, and the only time we chill is when we kill each other, it takes skill to be real, time to heal each other"
thats one of my favorite songs!

Tupac's lyrics are definately philosophical and spiritual! Although, Tupac often made blatant contradictions. One song he was rapping about love and brotherhood and in the next song he was talking about killing biggie bla bla bla bla.... He said he was always completely drunk when he wrote his songs. Perhaps that has somthing to do with it? LOL.
