A bottle of decent booze.  Evan Williams makes a decent single barrel bourbon that's not too expensive.

just look at what he likes. if he likes to fish, buy him a couple fancy lures. if he likes to read, buy a book you think he'll like. if he likes alcohol, buy him a case of a really nice local beer, or a good wine or something. if he likes snowboarding, buy him a gift card to get his snowboard waxed etc.

what are his interests? that would be a little more helpful if you're looking for suggestions.

Thats probably true but I have too.

I don't see why I should buy gifts for anyone to be honest.  I'm not religous, I don't believe in xmas and I've never asked for anyone to give me gifts.  I always end up chucking them in the bin a week later.

I've tried telling my family the honest truth and they react like spastics, go insane etc  Its really not worth me debating this one.  I just have to buy them shit and pretend to be chistmassy then I get an easier life.

it's like a bj, but with an h.  as in hand.

it was a joke.  although... if all he does is sit around watching TV, maybe it'd be a decent gift for him.

what shows does he watch?  maybe you can get him a boxset of seasons or something.

like most bourbon makers, evan williams has various stages of quality and expense.  i'm fairly certain he wasn't referring to the bottomshelf bottle most college kids drink from.

oh shit, that's totally a good idea.  buy a cheap decorative tin from the dollar store and put the cookies in that.  then it's like a legit real gift.

tell him what you told us
that there's nothing he really needs so you couldn't think of anything to buy
and then sing him a song as your gift
