Hey I gotta q on indentifying sub-types.

I'm kind of confused on the different types of Cope(cyans) subs. How can u tell what sub you've found? Are there many? All of the mushrooms I found today blue quickly, i'm sure they are cyans, but what about wavy caps? These caps are not wavy.

Wavy caps refer to psilocybe cyanescens, not pan cyans. The wavy caps are up here in the northwest. You're finding panaeolous cyanescens if you're down in florida. Hope that clears it up.

yep Davidg 47 is right. Psilocybe Cyanescens are Pacific Coast and Panaeolus Cyanescens are Southern Zone. Both contain psilocybin but Psilocybe Cyanescens are usually VERY potent.
