Soya Flour vs BRF?

I've been checking out the protein values per 100g on different types of flour and Soya flour seems to be the best (36.5) compared to BRF (6.9)

Does this sound like a good alternative?

I heard it was a bad substrate. Did you check the fat content? I'm sure the fat content will be detrimental to the growth.

I must admit it did have a higher fat content than BRF although I didn't make a note of the exact fat content.

I've read about using cannabis seeds for a substrate and it mentioned that they were high in fat and that it was detrimental to the growth of shrooms so I suppose you could be right there..

Has anyone tried wheat flour? Protein = 10.3 (higher than BRF) & fat content = 1.3 (Lower than BRF)

Wheat Germ Flour even better. I tried it once with straight pf (matias romero) and it was 100% in like 9 days. Invitro showed in about 12-14 I only did 12 jars and i cant find the stuf anymore all whole foods sells is whole wheat germ, and I dont have a grinder

I actually just sterilized some wheat germ jars the other day. Hope I get results like yours.

I have surrepticiosly ground whole brown rice in coffee grinders at the grocery store before, you may try that. Do you use the same amount of wheat germ as normally would be BRF?
